I have to send a saddle off to Walsall and want it to go both insured (not the basic £500 but actual value) and it needs to arrive next day and be recorded as being delivered.

Are Royal Mail ok at bulky stuff or should I be looking at someone like UPS?

Advice please.

I sent one via royal mail- not cheap- but got there in one piece (did have the option of 24hr del), and was insured for its value- but this was not above £500.

It will be really expensive so I would shop around, I think when I sent a saddle back to robinsons it cost me about £48 through Royal Mail/Parcel force but that was due to the insurance etc. However when I used I think it was DHL to send my Equissage to a friend it cost about £90. I think it is just best to get as many quotes as you can. x
