Posting of Saddles

Im putting my saddle up for sale and was just wondering what is the best way, to pack it up a for posting? and please no smart ar*e comments like "carefully"

Has anyone on here bought or sold one & if so how did you receive or send yours.

I sent one, in a henry hoover box, and padded it out with the paper feed bags you get nuts/mixes in. Arrived in perfect condition! So pressume didnt get damaged in transit. Oh and this was a heavy leather saddle too!

Hi, yes - I've posted several, pretty much as Mrchives describes.

Good size box with lots of packing around it. If you can get your hands on any bubble wrap - or even better the really big bubble wrap stuff, brilliant.

Large cardboard box, lots of 'padding' to stop the saddle from moving or rubbing, we used smaller boxes to wedge in the gaps and bubble wrap around any edges of the saddle as well as a fleece saddle cover
