posting rugs

Help! I need to return a rug that I bought online. I was wondering if anyone (maybe someone who uses ebay regularly?) can tell me the cheapest way they've found for posting bulky items? The last time I had to do this it cost me a small fortune!! Is Parcelforce the only real option?

I would use parcelforce they are usually resonably priced.

I usually use Parcel2Go for posting saddles in boxes. Recently I sold a rug and wrapped it well in clean feed bags. I got a quote from Parcel2Go and MyHermes and MyHermes was £1.50 cheaper although the rug took five days to be delivered.

We use Royal Mail standard parcels (not parcelforce) takes about 3 days (non Christmas time!) and costs about a tenner.
