Hello :)

Just a quick question that I am sure can be answered simply...

My dream horse is having her vet check tomorrow morning, and everything obviously relies on her passing... I have all my fingers and toes crossed that she will pass - but I am pretty sure she will!

Will I find out if she passes or fails tomorrow, or is there a wait before finding out the results?

I have no nails left because of the stress, and I am sure tomorrow I will be even worse!!

Exiting isn't it??? I was this 4 weeks ago and she passed albeit a small splint. The only wait you will have is if you ask for bloods to be taken. Or if there is an issue vets want to ask owner about, I was not there on the vetting but found out straight away when she called.

Thank you for your reply! :D

I don't think I am going to sleep tonight!! I am so nervous and excited!

She is having the 5 stage vetting + bloods but said he would phone with the results. I am hoping to find out tomorrow :O

Accck, I am so nervous!!

Do you know how long it takes for the blood results to come back?

I have always had result there and then, including certificate handed over. When I have not been there I have spoken to the vet while they are still there, usually from their car, and then arranged for the certificate to be left with the owner.

Instant money transfer to the owner's bank account, insure over the phone, and pick up next day :-)

And yes, I have bloods taken but would only analyse if I subsequently thought the horse had been doped or buted.

Good luck!!!

I have just had confirmation that I will receive the results tomorrow! Huzzah! If all goes well, which I am 99% sure it will.... I already have insurance & transport ready! And the payment pending to be sent! Then my beautiful girl will be home before I know it! :O :D

Bloods are included, but as I have already seen the horse so many times, I know she hasn't been doped - but it is better to be safe than sorry!

They don't actually test the blood unless you ask for it to be tested (I believe). It just gets stored. I could be wrong- Google is your friend!

No your right they are just stored but I wanted to know the results before I handed over my hard earnt cash - and wanted to make sure she was not on bute or on calmers.

Even though I had no reason to suspect she was, I heard so many stories on here about those who were and were having a nightmare trying to return the horse - and in my situation where hubby thinks she is only a loan horse not that I brought her it is not like I could send her back if she was or he would know I brought her. So I had to know she was A* ok prior to me handing over the monnies.

Also, the Vet would usually ring you mid vetting if they find anything untoward to check whether you want to continue.

Very exciting, hope your potentially new horse passes with flying colours :)
