When buying a Grade A SJ ???
To be used as a schoolmaster to introduce a rider to bigger tracks .

Is there restrictions etc. ??

Its a fantastic idea if you can find the right horse. There are some restrictions of classes you can enter but there are so many open classes that you can start as small as a 1 metre class and work your way up. The only potential problem I can see is that some of these grade A 'schoolmasters' are horses that have chucked it or become stale in the ring or arent up to the physical demands of jumping at a high level. Choose carefully and do as much research into the history of the horse, what it has done and who has ridden it and you should be fine. If you havent found one yet, I know of a fantastic one with full history( Geoff Billington used to ride him).
