I have come across this scenario whilst searching online for a 3.5tonne horsebox on one of the usual websites.
Super looking 2009 horsebox advertised at a 'too good to be true' price - £5,000.
Emailed buyer to check on mileage and price.
Buyer replied stating mileage low at 72,000, box said to be in good condition, rust free, etc. Registered in owners name with no outstanding loans on it.
Situation is seller has recently got divorced, moved to ireland, box is in UK and she just wants an easy transaction and rid of it - serious buyers with funds available only.
I replied asking if we can come and view and will they be coming over from Ireland for the viewing or is it in the care of someone here in the UK.
Seller replied with this;
Hello,
Thank you for your reply, I will answer to your inquires but first please give me a little time to explain you the process of this transaction.
As I told you in my first email, I'm recently divorced, I just got a new job and moved to Ireland.
Before leaving I've made a contract with World Express (If you are not familiar with World Express please go to www.worldwex-ltd.com) to handle my transaction,
The HorseBox is located in London, at the shipping company, ready to be delivered.
The box will arrive at your address in 2-3 working days. The shipping cost's are included in the total price of the Horsebox! You will have 5 days return-policy to test and inspect the box prior to make any final purchase.
World Express will store the payment until the shipment is delivered and confirmed. So I won't receive any money until you will receive and inspect the HorseBox.
If you agree with this transaction I will need the following details (with no further obligations) from you to proceed forward:
- Your Full Name
- Your Shipping Address
- Your Phone Number - Required by the Shipping company (They will call you with delivery/pickup instructions 1 day prior to arrival of parcel).
I need this information to file a case at World Express and they will contact you with all details and instructions you need regarding shipping and payment procedure and also to see that We are covered by them and that I am legit seller.
Your sincerity, understanding and cooperation will be highly appreciated
Waiting your email with the requested details.
Regards!
Have done a bit of digging and the registered address given is not that of the company. Website looks pretty genuine though.
What does everyone think? Personally, I don't like it. Who would I report it to? I can't remember which website I originally saw the advert on as I've trawled through that many.
Thanks
