Do you just use the nappy to hold the animalintex in place or can the nappy actually act as a poultice?

In my head I am thinking that surely a nappy will draw stuff out just like it draws moisture away from a babies skin!!!

Hi. I used the nappies as a dry poultice/dressing after the wet poulticing with animalintex. It did dry the hooves out so definitely draws moisture away. Nappies worked really well and quick and easy to put on - still got a supply in my emergency box!

I have used them with and without the animalintex so up to you really! Much cheaper option to keep in your first aid kit.

I just use a cohesive bandage on top of the animalintex and then duct tape over that. Never lost a poultice yet, even when turned out!!

instead of the animalintex!! far far cheaper!
especially the tesco value ones! ;)
(They're absorbent and so act as a poultice )

ETA - I use them wet and dry.
