I have a long concrete passageway from one of the fields to one stable ..the horse that uses that stable has field access 24/7 But at times can race in and out .
I have had rubber mats for years in my stables which I always use with a bed on top which suits me. However as the passage way is smooth concrete I have been leaving mud from the field that the horse carries in on his hooves and bits of cardboard bedding on the ground to assist re grip.
I would like to have some matting on this passage way. Laying rubber mats would not be that good as when he goes very fast I would be worried that he would ruck a mat up and then trip.Likewise with grassmats, plus he poos in the passage way so I would spend all my time trying to get it out of the holes in the mats
I have looked into pour on rubber but to have it done by the companies is rather expensive.
Luckily my husband is very good at DIY so we are looking into a pour on product that we can do ourselves.
Has anyone had any experiences ..Good or Bad?
The answer would be for the horse to come and go sensibly. But this is not going to be the case.
Thanks
