Has anyone ever had this done instead of rubber mats? What are they like, I've only ever used and cursed movable rubber mats in the past? Trying to keep dust levels low for older ladies.

Brand new stables going up and I've costed rubber mats for both stables but poured rubber mats seem like a viable option as they're about the same price. I have a handy person available that's happy to install them.

I have seen one in a friend's lorry. It was great for a length of time, then cracked and pee got in. Then it was awful as the pee seemed to rot the glue further and was getting under, but you couldn't lift it to clean underneath.

For that reason, I have moveable mats in the stables!

I'm in the same situation as you, I have three stable to kit out in rubber mats and given the cost I think it is more economical to put liquid rubber in. However, I think I'm still going to go with Mats because
  • What if the rubber rips/gets a hole (ine likes to paw the ground)
  • what happens on uneven ground
  • If I sell the house/leave I will have to leave the mats in situ

Good luck and if you do get it, please let us know what its like!

We did glued and sealed mats which worked really well, and when the seals split in one of the stables we were able to lift the mats, clean underneath and reseal at minimal cost and inconvenience.
