I'm just about finished my tub of Equimins tip top - I bought it as I needed a general supplement over winter and the tack shop had it in stock and it was a good price.
I'm not trying to sort my horses summer feeding regime - he's a chunky coblet so he won't really be getting fed but I do like to continue with his supplements.
I like to feed micronised linseed and am also planning on adding some magnesium. I'd also like to add something like yea sacc or similar to help with general gut health.
If you want to get the right mix for your horse, is it better just to buy the main vits & minerals separately or are there good base balancers out there to use as a starting point?
I've looked at the forage first products and while they look good, they do seem very expensive compared to some others.
Perhaps something like bailey's lo cal might be a better option as it would also negate the need to give any additional feed due to it's pellet format?
