Posted on the veterinary section about my two pregnant mares, i am really dying to know what sex the foals will be.

If you read the post, it was suggested that i try the wedding ring test (could also use a nail). Well i did it with my two this morning.

According to the test, Mia my wee baby will have a colt and Mae my big baby lol, will have a filly.

I guess its a waiting game, but i dont want to wait lol
 
Oh im getting excited now lol, i really want Mae to have a filly, the gypsies that used to own her said shes going to have a filly, but cause shes so huge, i had thought it would be a colt
 
You put a wedding ring on a bit of string, place it over the pregnant mares pelvis. If the ring rocks side to side shes expecting a colt, if it swings around in a circle, its a filly.

Didnt think it would work but was amazed at how it went. My hand was still but the ring was swinging!!
 
Yep it defenately works for me. Did the test on all four of my children, 3 boys then a girl, and it really does work. Did it on a friend as she was having twins and it did both. She had a boy and a girl!
 
I was amazed at how vicious the swinging was, hubby thought i was swinging it myself and i let him try it.

He now says i have a possessed horse!!
