prelim 12... progressive to medium walk

this mayb a very blonde question but whar does this mean and what do u do:

E half 20m circle left in free walk on a long rein

B transition ( progressive ) to medium walk

before M working trot

It just means that you do a half circle from E to B (so that when you cross the center line you are 10 mtrs from X) at a free walk on a long rein so the horse stretches over its back and takes the contact down and out, then at B don't suddenly shorten the reins and go from free walk to medium in a couple of steps , you do it smoothly without changing the rhythm over 2-3 strides, and before you get to M transition to working trot.
