Doe that mean half of a whole 10 meter circle - making the 1/2 circle I am riding 5 meters deep back to X (If that makes sense!)

If I've understood you correctly, yes you are on the right track!! The circle has a 5 meter radius and a 10 meter diameter. When you get to B circle onto the center line.

They do have tests with diagrams which might help??!!!

So you're doing an 'S' across the arena, the fat curves of which are five metres deep (if you were to draw a line straight across from E to B ).
