Prelim 4

I've just been sent an email saying that the pC D2 dressage test I thought I was entered for next Thurs is infact Prelim 4 and do I still want to do it?

I know that you're not allowed to post the exact details because of copyright but could someone give me a rough idea of what paces/flatwork they will be expecting to see so that I can let them know tonight while I wait for the test order to come through from dressage diagrams.

Hi dwi,

I know from memory that Prelim 7 involves all three paces, a change of rein, 20m circles with canter in the second half and free walk on a long rein. I would think Prelim 4 is similar if not easier than that.

P4 has canter circles on both reins at E and B. A nice test. Good luck.

Prelim 4 is nice and straight forward - there is quite a bit of canter (all the way around the school + 20 mtr circle) and a change of rein in trot down the centre line

I've got prelim 4, thats the test shand and I are doing next Thurs too. I'll bring it down the yard 4 u to look at. It is basically working trot and canter 20m circles on both reins. Also half 10m circles in walk. I'm sure you will be fine, go for it I say!
