I have got a new chunky 15.1 horse, who needs a rug to last him all year round. I have narrowed the choice down to the Rambo Optimo and the Buster Trio. I have used Horseware before and think that their rugs are very hardwearing and good quality, however the optimo is VERY expensive. Premier Equine have a very good deal on the Buster Trio, have anybody got this rug and is it as good as the Optimo?

I've got PE buster trio turnout and stable rugs and they're brilliant! Most brands I've tried don't fit my cob x but the PE rugs fit him perfectly. They are tough too. They are quite heavy though.
Haven't tried a Rambo so couldn't comment I'm afraid :)

I love Horseware rugs and have just posted about my brilliant new Rambos which arrived today. However my friend has just bought an Optimo and after a week the neck lining had completely ripped and the rug was leaking.

Based on over 12 years experience of having various Rambos I think this is probably very unusual but it's something to bear in mind.

Sorry

had both makes and rambo are fab .PE have poor quality clips and fixings and the rugs dont self right after rolling so they hang over one side all the time. for quite an expensive rug they are disapointing. rambo last for ever- ive got rambo rugs that ive had ten years and are repaired and washed every spring:D:D:D
