Going to need all new rugs soon for new horse and was thinking about this as heard good things about PE rugs. Anyone got the buster trio and give me a review? Do you use it inside as well - planning to ditch the stable rugs as it says it is dual purpose

i have two - one for inside, one for out. they are identical (well one is distinctly more brown than the other!) and i only have one set of inner liners/thick neck covers. I really like them. They are a generous fit, i went for a size down and it fits perfectly.
there was a thread on here a while ago about PE rugs though and some ppl complained that they leak but i've never had a problem.

When you don't have loads of storage space they are awesome - i am trying to get down to a capsule wardrobe for my horse - one PE buster indoor, one outdoor, thermatex, travel stuff! (i'm not there yet!)

I have the buster trio and i love it!!! I have a wimpy TB whos hard to keep weight on. He has a hunter clip at the moment and only has the 100g neck wrap on and the 100g liner on underneth the rug and is toastie under it!!

He wears in inside aswell and have never had a problem!! If he comes in and the rug is wet he stays in it as i find his heat drys it. I have never had a problem with leaking even in heavy rain, rubbing shoulder/mane or the liner slipping.

The only thing I dont like about the rug, which i find is across all makes, is the gap between the front of the rug and the neck wrap. If it rains it runs down his chest but he wears a snuggy turnout hood which protects that area.

If you find them on facebook and join their page, they have 10% off at the moment with a code.

Expensive rug but i would deff recomend!!! Hope this helps :)

I have one for my 17'2 ID/TB it's the best fitting rug that I have found for him, love it!! I haven't had any problems with it leaking either. I would defo recommend

Another recommendation here. Have had mine for two winters, worn inside and out - lovely rugs. Come up large in size, and good and deep.

Have you all gone down one size? Is for a TB - so if they come up large there is no extra width to take it up!

Trying to work out whether is it better for me to get one of these or a couple of normal turnouts. I know i effectively get more rugs for my money with this, but do I need that many!?

Best rug I ever had. EVER! Use it inside and out, breatheable, well made. virtually indestructible, easy to wash/dry inners, never moves on my mare. Love it ;)
My cob mare is 15hh, takes a 6'6" and is bult like a tank, the PE rug comes down to her knees and there is ample room width wise. When I get one for my TB (takes a 6'3") I will get a 6'

Another vote!

The liners are now antibacterial. Fit my skinny Tb very well, without sizing down and also fit my half Shire - just! Dont rub or move on either.

Have had to send one back that leaked though!

Me, too :) Great rugs and the flexibility the trio gives is great. Never had a problem leaking, moving or rubbing. Neck covers tend to be long which suits a few of mine. The velcro on the neck covers tends to go quite quickly but teh same can be said for Fal. Highly recommended.

I have a trio and I love it. My horse lives in it all the time, and has no shoulder rubs or neck rubs at all. Keeps him warm as well, plus they are longer than other rugs so almost comes to his knees and he's a 17.2 who's in a 6ft 6 but has put on a bit of weight so think needs a 6ft 9 now.

Im just about to order this :) and their stable rug. but just thought of a quick question - are the necks long enough and does it work with them being elasticated at the end? I often find rug necks not to be long enough on some of mine. Muchos thanks for any replies ( preferably quick :) )

I've only recently bought the buster 70x with neck , the elasticated top end of the neck is a really good idea - stops the rain pouring in but it's not too tight or anything - more like a cuff really , and just right in length so it doesn't ride up when neck is down , but with cuff , doesn't go over the ears either..

Also have one and love it! Use it inside and out from autumn to spring and get no rubs or leaks, I will never buy any rug apart from this again.

Apparently PEI have really hiked their prices this year, so if you don't *NEED* to buy the rug now, wait until the January sale as they do really good discounts;-)

Love mine! My horse wears it in and out. The neck is plenty long enough. Plus, the linners are light weight enough to put in the washing machine. I think now, all of their rugs have the linner fastenings so consider if it is cheaper to buy them separately (not nec part of the combo range). Prices have hiked so use the Facebook cook.

I had to buy now unfortunately. New 2 year old being picked up this weekend so I dont have enough rugs anymore! so bought my competition mare a new set of PE t/o and stable rugs. I rang them to try and get more discount off as I put in a huge order of what would have been almost £600 *faints* no such luck though so just used discount code; they had just put their xc boots on sale, the ladies breeches were already on sale so I understood but I still think they could have done me a package on the stable - the 100g one and a set of liners like they do for the buster trio but no such luck. Fine if they work well and everything else but any problems and Im expecting the superb customer service which has been mentioned on threads on here before! :). The only things I am concerned about really are firstly sizing though after speaking to the lady on the phone should be okay, and secondly that there is only a strap in the style of a fillet string at the back instead of leg straps- am I missing something as usually all the best quality rugs Ive bought have had leg straps and seem to stay put pretty well in fact I dont have any turnouts without them! eek.

SHIZA just realised what I forgot to order and recieved an email to say being shipped (all credit to them placed order at 3.30pm and recieved email at 5pm saying despatched and due to arrive within 24hours, postage was free too) a heavierweight neckcover for the stable rug! Oh well dont need it just yet so will order a little later, could always order another pair of breeches too if I really like them ;) :D

stuff arrived today. ordered their breeches which are clearly not designed for anyone much over 5ft let alone pushing 6ft which is a shame but I just dont think cropped breeches are going to make a new fashion! Havent used the t/o rug yet but put my mare in her stable rug tonight and it fits beautifully, that said shes not as long necked as my TB who also wears the same size rug and its *just* right neck length on her so not sure it would be long enough really for him to be ideal :) the turnout looks lovely too not sure how long the neck is on that yet. thanks for all the recommendations :)
