Hi has anybody had overheating problems with the PE buster zero too hot making the horse sweat? Both horses dripping.
i have also got amigo’s which do not make them sweat, I’m now thinking of replacing the PE busters with rhino’s or back to amigo’s or weatherbeeta.

That’s a hard one there no doubt on this yard that the longest lasting zeros are the PE ones but that is because the outer fabric is a heavy one .
I have some amigos they are light but they don’t last long .
the best option is I think to use one of those fly rugs with a shower proof strip along the back or leave the horse naked which is what we do here .

Thanks for the feedback, I also had a problem in the winter where other horses were in heavy weights (weatherbeeta) the horses with PE buster zero and medium liner again head to toe in sweat.

I dont like {E rugs. They are very, very heavy so it may just be that. Sell them on and get a Rambo
Yes think I may have too, had rambo’s before and never had this problem, the PE are 840 denier ballistic but too afraid to put them on now.....shame.

I don’t think you can beat PE rugs for durability and I have found they are fine on fully clipped horses that feel the cold. If I put them on one of mine who is always warm, even when fully clipped in cold weather, he sweats. I also find them very heavy compared to any other brands of rug I’ve had.

I love PE rugs and all of mine wear them through the winter. Weirdly the zero weight one rubs the end of the coat on my black mare and breaks the end of the hair off making her coat look terrible
no idea why as the others seem to be ok.
