Hi

Has anyone used these boots? there are some kevlar ones on the website in the sale and im considering getting some, just wondered what they are like in terms of fit/quality?

I have a set of lightweight NEW xc boots which are unfortunately to small for my new horse and at the moment I cant stretch to buying her a set - shame as i love them!

I've got the air cooled and they come up quite big imo, have got M for my 16.2hh TB mare, initially bought large but were much too wide for her although the length was okay, she is quite fine but not particularly so. I like them, they're nice and light and dry very quickly

Ive got them and find them really good, they keep the legs cool. They do come up quite large but my horse is a TB with quite fine legs and I bought medium.

I bought the air vented ones (black and pink) and they have excellent protection down the back of front legs, really impressed!

I bought the large size and they fit my 16.2 gelding well, maybe on the large size but width is fine, he has about 7 and a half inches.:)

Will that not clash with your red over reach boots only_me, or have they died now?

I need back boots for our lady, but I'm nearly sure that I have heard the back boots slip - can anyone confirm or deny?

Thanks only_me - the eq store has those WW ultra boots at the moment, and they come in L and XL (which S might need). I thought they slipped though (certainly the straps are elasticated - I could buy them and get the elastic removed though).

I like the way they come down to cover the front of the hind fetlock joint, which the PE ones don't

I had the aircooled boots front and back and i hated them. They rubbed my horses legs and slipped down. IMO you could tell they were cheap and i didnt like them. I sent them back with pictures of my horses rubbed legs, got my money back and bought some N.E.W aircolled boots which are much beter!!

I have some questions about these boots. Im in the market and these are definitely on my list!

1. What are they lined with? It looks like maybe a neoprene type fabric but I cant be sure.
2. Do most people find they fit well? I mean even in water and muck and all that good stuff, they stay put?
3. What is the strike pad like, rigid or flexible?
4. Do you find they really do keep the legs cooler?
5. Are they really lightweight?

Thanks! Trying to make an educated decision and most of the good boots arent available in my area.

1. it is like neoprene but not so thick and hot
2. mine have stayed put for hour long xc schooling sessions including quite a bit of "playing" in water. Have not yet had to use them in mud.
3. The strike pad is pretty rigid, have never tried to actually flex it
4. IME yes
5. Very!

Thanks!

Also on my list are the Prolite boots, Nunn Finer American Style boots, and NEW fleece lined boots (these are the only ones I get to see in use, as my friend has a set, and she says in her experience the fleece lined are cooler than the foam lined).

i wasn't impressed with the quality - mine didn't even last half a hunt season. i sent them back and they replaced them, but the replacements didn't last long either!

I've got the Kelvar ones, They are great, Tough in the mud, wet, don't heat the legs etc lasted a year of abuse and still going. Serious protection aswell.

Come up big though. I have med on my warmbloods fronts.

I know this is very random, but I am going to buy some PE event boots that have blue vents, and was wondering how you dyed yours as I would prefer mine to be black, or a colour to match my xc colours! Did you just put the boots in the wash with some dye, or something else? I hope you see this, thanks!
