Does anyone know if PE helmets are more round or oval? I have an oval “Charles Owen shaped” head but have seen a PE I like the look of and just wanted to get an idea of whether it is likely to fit before I travel further to a stockist.

Their info (un)helpfully says they fit both by using adjustable padding?! So I’m thinking that must mean they are round and just pad out the sides for oval heads, which to my mind doesn’t really mean they actually fit well?

Following: I have an Oval head and finding anything remotely suitable other than the very bland (IMO) Charles Owen kids helmets, is impossible.
Yes, this is my problem. Thought I’d try something different this time but reckon I’ll end up back with CO! Tried a couple of crazily expensive fancy brands on at Blenheim which looked lovely, but there was so much padding going on I’m not convinced they really fit properly - they had to go up in size then fill the gaps in!

Have you tried the hats with the dial at the back ? I've had terrible trouble getting hats to fit properly- the dial ones seem to work well for me. I've got a karben(?) and a Uvex and both are fine. Think I've got a round head though and previously if the hat felt secure I'd get a bad headache after 20 mins but a the nxt size up hat needed loads of padding to just stay on !!

I have a Charles Owen oval head, but now swear by Uvexx with the dial. I recently bought myself the new oval gatehouse after trying it on in a shop. The lady talked me out of another Uvexx and I already regret it.

Thanks, I haven’t tried that brand yet!

My last hat was a PE one, and I’m more oval than round. Currently have a Pikeur Abus, which was the only one in the tack shop that fitted of what they had in stock.
