Just wanted to say that after 2 years of rug searching I think I have my found the perfect rug company in Premier Equine. I was advised to look them up via this site when I was despairing about not having deep enough rugs for my 17'3 - they all came up like bloody mini dresses on him and I so wanted him to have nice, long rugs which didn't look so short.

So, enter Premier Equine into my life. Have bought the Bug Buster (although 7' is the biggest in this range but it is still more generous than most). £42 which included hood AND matching fly mask (paid an extra £2 for full face version). Only £3 P&P and came NEXT DAY by courier. I was very impressed. They have a great range of boots and all other rugs go to 7'3 and are really competitively priced and great quality.

I think it's about time someone gave the big boys (as in the Rambo's/Todds) a run for their money and these people - direct manufacturers, can do no wrong in my eyes.

Come later in the year I am going to Ebay all of my bad buys - rugs with promise but no depth - and kit my man out with a complete Premier wardrobe.

Just wanted to share some good news for a change!!

a few years ago they made a "thermatex" type rug called the all in one. They were fab, I tried to buy more but they stopped making them

I did however find a couple of new ones for sale on ebay and I now have three of them!!!

They are a great all round rug, maybe they will make them again?

Bought two of their rugs last year - HW stable and MW Turnout.

I would actually rate them higher than Horseware or Fal - and at a fraction of the price.

I can't see me buying any other brand from now on.

Sorry to be so dim Spaniel, but went to look at website and there are ones to use in stable and field, but only seem to find 40g and upwards filling, can you tell me where I'd find a totally unlined turnout on there please?

Ive got one at the yard, I will have a look tonight and see if it gives me a clue as to the 'name'. I know it was in the sale last year so maybe they dont have it this time. Will check though as it might be worth phoning them to ask.

I have a 17.2 warmblood and struggle to get a correct fit in rugs for him. I found Slumberdown fitted him well after trying lots of other makes. Slumberdown has now stopped making rugs so interested to hear Premier Equine is a good quality make. Do they have stockists or is it or all online shopping?

My local saddlery is a big outfit doing many ranges of rugs of the main well known companes. Im after a middle weight without neck to use in the autumn. I asked whether they had any left in 7ft after the winter season and she said that Slumberdown have now stopped making rugs and have been taken over by (not Fal)....... but cant remember the make. Perhaps someone out there might know who?

They did (last year I think) because I bought one and want another. They didn't do a neck cover with them though.

Fantastic PE rugs.

I struggled to get anything to fit my larger than life boy. Ended up buying very expensive fal rugs that still looked like mini skirts on him. Then found PE and have never looked back fantastic rugs that really fit and very good value for money. Iam still using rugs that are 4 yeas old and not a markon them ( well, some mud maybe) Oh, and very waterproof, never had one leak even in the heaviest rain

they knock spots off all the other mail orders for thier speedy delivery and quality.
i compared thier winter heavyweight with rambo's equivelant and premiers was at least £50 cheaper and actually a heavierweight.
would love to buy one of everything I wouldnt buy any other brand.

I do like PE stuff, but I won't ever order of them again. The couriers they use are awful. They pretend to deliver stuff and it never turns up. I've tried twice and both times were a disaster. I would never use them again for that reason - I can't stand the stress.

We also bought 2 of the lightweight turnouts - 1 leaks one doesn't and the cut of the nech isn't the best. Also when you have the neck attached and the horse puts it's head down to eat grass the neck cover gaps at the top and all the rain pours in.

The saddlecloth - hopefully they have changed it by now is also too tight across the withers. I bought one rode in it for about 10 mins and had to take it off - never used it again
