I have been advised by vet to get some sport boots for my mare. She is a 15.2 extremely chunky traditional cob x Clydesdale. The vet recommended Premier Equine as their sizes are apparently quite generous. Having looked on their website the boots go up to an XL which I think she would need to go round the leg but as the size chart says to fit 17.3 to 18.2hh horses i think they might be too long! There are no actual measurements given on the website....do Premier Equine boots come up large? Does anyone use these boots and can advise on sizing please?

It's been a few years since I've needed to buy a pair but from memory they definitely come up large. I think my 16.3hh ISH needed a large whereas normally he was extra large in other makes.

Hi, there is a brilliant size guide on each product on premier equine which gives you the circumference & length. Id definitely advise using it to measure your horse as if Id taken proper note I wouldnt be about to return our 2nd lot of event boots! We have a 14.3hh connie who is a chunk & needs the sizes for 15.2hh so you never can tell but best to measure.
