In light of the black Friday thread I have had a nosy on the premier equine site and see these rugs are 40% off. I really need a medium weight turnout with detachable neck (long mane!)that has to be at least 1200d as one of my horses is a rug wrecker, not his own but everyone else's he can get his teeth into!
They have one of the new Tybalt Stratus rugs in his size on offer, he is a welsh cob so needs a bit of room around the front, so I was wondering if anyone has one of these and how they fit? or can anyone recommend a rug (on offer would be good!) that would fit the bill? thanks

all 5 of mine are committed rug wreckers and I have just bought one of these for the 5th one as the other 4 (bought in the last sale) seem to be standing up quite well to repeated grabbing and biting. They do come up big and I have found them to be quite roomy round the shoulders

Not that particular one, but I've got the PE Buster Combo series of six interchangeable, liners, neck cover & outer. They are superb, they've been in daily use for 12 months, with only a velcro pad coming loose, (to be sewn back when it gets colder and he changes for the heavier liner) and a broken fillet strap (twice) which are about £2.50 each from PE. Their customer service is superb, I cant comment on fit, mine are fine (6'6") on my 16.2 ID, my wife had a gypsey cob in a smaller size no problems.

Great value for money, made me bin my Mark Todd, Rambo etc....

they do come up roomy. I like mine well enough but for that price I would expect adjustable chest traps and the ability to put on leg straps (I live in a very windy place and appreciate the option). It is however, orange and pretty :D

I don't like them - my boy just backs out of them and leaves them in a pile done up in the middle of the field. Leg straps are a must for me...
