Hi, has anyone any experience of the PE sweet itch rug? If so please could I have your comments - good or bad? New horse now seems to have developed full blown SI so am looking for a decent rug for him and the PE one looks very similar to the Rambo one but alot cheaper! Thanks

I can't answer about the PE sweet itch rug, but I bought 2 Rambo SI hoodies which I use for one of my horses and would recommend them for mild sweetitch. I have been using them for two seasons now, and they're still good, wash easily too.
That design doesn't protect underneath the neck, or the belly and udder/sheath areas, so your horse can still be bitten.
I looked at the PE catalogue, but thought the finish looked poor (round the ears it looks like there is no binding?).

Sorry cant coment on their sweet itch rug, but have had their fly sheet and it was excellent. Great cut and covered horse completely, horse never sweated up under it and it dried really quickly. Asi understand it though if the sweet itch has actually developed this year then there is little you can do other than treat the symptoms and get a SI rug on or injections earlier this year. (sorry if you have already done this) I know lots of people have had great success with the boet rug and you can ride with it on too. x
