Premier Equine Travel boots problem for white feathers

Got to my inhand show, white feathered lad and the black dye on inside of boot had passed onto white feathers.

Don't want to change boots as they're the only full size boots that fit him (he's a big halfShire). Bandages wont work as they'll flatten feathers for show ring

Any thoughts about a suitable liner please?

Wash, wash, wash them, leave them to soak in warm to hot water to encourage dye to come out? Or use Escadron (sp???) wraps inside first - personally I would do the soaking and washing until the dye has gone.

I use shaped bandage pads under my travel boots as they are nylon lined and make my lads legs sweat - works fine

Thanks, how many eskadron wraps in a pack please, they look good but a little pricey, might make my own?
