I've had/used mine for about a week now and today during a good downpour the rug has leaked like a sieve.

Everywhere there are buckles, velcro, legs arches the water has got through & ended up being soaked into the inside of the rug.

I might expect this to happen after a yr or two of relentless use, but it's after the first drop of rain.

The main body of the rug is so waterproof the rain just sits ontop of the fabric, but I cant believe how much it has soaked through.

-Has anyone else experienced this? -Do you guys think I ought to moan at them?
PS, I've got their other rugs & this has never happened.

We had a rug from them some years ago which leaked like a sieve. At that time their customer service was disgraceful so I won't deal with them again. But hopefully things have improved a lot and they will be more helpful now.

I would contact them about this. You've only just had it, spent a considerable amount of money & it leaks so it should be up to them to sort it out. I've bought loads from them in the past & when I've had a problem they have been very good to deal with... give then a call.

I have lots of there rugs including a trio which my horse has lived in for the last couple of months, I haven’t had a problem with mine but maybe I’m lucky, give them a call, they've always been helpful to me.

I found that the velcro holding the hood of the Winter Buster was coming apart today - horse has worn rug twice so am v. cross. Spoke to Rachel at Premier Equine and she said send it back and they'll sort it. Will give you her no if you want it.

I had a rug from them once and it was awful, completely not waterproof. Vowed not to buy another rug from them following that. They refused to take it back as it was in their sale, and to be honest it was more hassle than it was worth to fight it out.

I had an PE fleece which didn't fit I changed it twice for different sizes none of which fitted, gutting as it was a lovely rug, but they were very good changing them and finally giving me my money back. I would contact them and see if you can exchange it for another.

Well, I did contact them yesterday & am in the process of packaging it up & posting it back. Will let you guys know the update.

Good luck - we had a similar problem a few years ago with 2 new rugs that were also a couple of days old. Not only did they not help in anyway they were damn offensive about it too. Despite the good press they get on here on the whole I would not touch them with a barge pole.

I was also put off by PE rugs, I bought 2 fleeces from them ages ago which looked nice but their fit was dreadful, they weren't nearly deep enough for 2 of mine (both totally different builds, one a slim TB type) and just looked awful, so I flogged them straight away! Put me off buying any PE rugs since.

I asked on here a while ago about if I should buy a WB Tristar and a lot of people advised me to get the PE Trio. TBH Im very glad I went with my gut feeling and went with the Tristar - its been absolutely brilliant so far. Fits beautifully, never moved, very cosy and never leaked at all even in awful rain and snow we've had lately. If I were you Id probaby flog the Trio on Ebay and buy the Tristar! I sold my Rambo Duo on Ebay as I hated that rug!
