As above really, just been looking at the 70g one complete with neck cover for £50 or thereabouts. Looks like VGVFM if you layer thicker ones underneath it. Anybody sampled these?

I love the Premier Equine rugs even down to the fleece rugs. They get my vote!.

Stables I trained at last winter used them and rated them very highly. Lots of their horses (bear in mind a lot of these were ex eventers) were fully clipped and lived out 24/7 in them.

I have it! Also have the sooperdooper boombastic T/O which I use inside and out. Good fit, the only thing I was alittle concerned about was the stitching on the tail flap. When it gets drenched it dries really quick if you leave it on the horse, as found out during the summer monsoon season.

I got the black lightweight winterbuster, the fit and appearance is very good but it is only showerproof, any significant rain and it is soaked through

We had a similar problem a few years ago - and the customer service from Premier Equine was utter crap. Wouldn't touch them again with a bargepole now.

I love my Premier Equine Turnout and fleece rugs but not so keen on the bug rugs as they have no belly flap, shallow shoulder/wither lining and the front fastenings are not as good as the turnouts BUT when i got the bug rugs earlier this year, one of the neck covers was not deep enough for my cob and they sent another bigger one on a next day delivery FREE!! you do get a return label so its easy to send something back if its not ok. I agree about the lightweight - sometimes the boys are wet underneath but not always so i think its probably them heating up and sweating rather than leaking... Overall great value for money-will be ordering some for our new boy- one of my heavyweights is on its fourth winter with no leaks or slipping. Note the rug sizes are generous....

Can I just clarify those who've had leaks have had them with the lightweight one that has no filling ?

I'm thinking of the 70g one although having seen the new Fal Crusader (40g @ £65) am tempted to have that and stick with the one I know and love!

Have any number of different PE rugs for my two, from fleeces to the Stormbusters.

Ive got nothing but praise for them and have never suffered leaks or slipping even after rolls.

I have just put Henry in his 70g PE turnout - it's fabby!! He also has the heavyweight all singing all dancing stormbuster which he wore through last winter and it was fantastic - best rug I've ever bought!! It's still going strong for later this winter when the weather turns. He's fully clipped and never chilly in it. I have had nothing but good dealings with PE, their service is amazing and value for money brilliant.

I am their biggest fan!!
Most of the rugs in my collection are Premier. The ones i don't use are other makes

My boy has had the 70gram one for a month or so now, and so far so good. Dry and cosy.

They are really good to deal with, and delivery is prompt. All products from them are great value for money.

I nearly jokingly sent them a piccie of Max the other day, to see if he could be the new face of Premier Equine!! lol

Well I am with ISH - turnouts didn't perfom at all leaked and clips broke wihin weeks and customer service were more than just c**p they were rude and abusive. This was a few years ago when they 1st went into production but put me right off them.

They are quite generous! Hope it fits! They will exchange if it's clean...
