prep for clipping?

Having the neddy clipped next week for the first time in 10 years - what should I do before hand to prep him?
Does he need to be bathed or will a good groom suffice?

Depends how dirty he is!!

I either bath or hot cloth mine. If shes not very dirty then a good body brushing, remebering to curry the brush every few strokes so you don't brush it back in!

I did mine last week. Because the weather was so good I gave him a good bath which made the clippers run really smoothly.

If you have access to warm water, I would bath him and then rug him up til he's dry. If not, give him a rally good brush and hot towling.

thanks, I think it'll be the hot towelling but Ill see how the the weather goes
