Any tips for giving Jensen and I the best chance for success when the 2018 eventing season starts? I already have intensive tuition booked over Christmas with The Best Eventing Trainer (so excited! Will i achieve hands on knees etc eventually? :) ) and I will be asking for weekly tuition....planning weekly outings to dressage/SJ/eventer challenges/XC schooling when ground allows..... anything else?

Sounds exciting and far more than I am doing!! I'd add in hacking for fitness t make sure you make the times XC. Have fun xx

What events are you targeting? Be nice to have a virtual buddy to prepare with! I can't wait for the season to start. I just can't believe I finally have a horse where BE feels achievable. So excited but very nervous too.

I seem to be targeting all of them in the area! (Gloucestershire) :D

I’m not ambitious, BE80 is our goal for this year, so I’m hoping to start with a few unaff 70cm ones (there is hopefully one at Offchurch Bury on my birthday in March) then move up to unaff 80’s then go BE80 - it all depends on money, as well as fitness, soundness etc :)

If all goes to plan (I know, it rarely does with horses!) I’ll be trying for West Wilts. Calmsden, Sapey, Broadway, Berriewood, Llanymynech and Ascott under Wychwood

Sounds pretty good to me. My biggest issue was finding the time really, amazing how quickly it goes, then there are the odd unexpected things like horse losing shoe, and me losing my confidence. I didn't plan for those!
