On Saturday November 17th, the Aderro dressage centre have planned a full day dressage seminar, hosted by Olympic trainer Conrad Schumacher. The focus of the seminar is PREPARING TO WIN

Conrad has said that this doesn't just mean winning your class but also beating your fears as a rider, and coming out on top of your personal goals, at whatever level you ride.

Conrad is going to be joined by FEI list one judge Isobel Wessels and olympic rider Emile Faurie as well.

This will be a great day as Conrad has trained over 4000 horse rider combinations over the world, winning over 40 international medals, Isobel is highly in demand as an FEI judge and trainer, and will be giving critique from a judges point of view on the guinea pigs of the day,and Emile will be giving his tips from the riders perspective and then will perform a Kur on the hugely talented Dream of Heidleberg.

The team will work with both very ordinary and very talented horse/rider combinations at every level of training, and there will be booklets available for people to take notes, and they will contain further training tips!

Anyway... the reason I have written about this is because I have been asked to take lil Merlin to the seminar, to ride in the Elementary section!!!!!

I am a bit scared, as they reckon the event will be fully booked with up to 800 people! I have a little while to prepare so hopefully it will be A ok!! It may even be on Horse and Country TV

I think that the evening before they are running the x factor dressage to music charity event too,(they did it last year) thats all in a good cause, Penny Brohn Cancer care, and BBC children in need!

So if anyone wants to come and laugh at me the tickets are £45 or £50 on the door!

Have made a note of the date and will put on yard notice board. Would love to come and see CS and yourself and meet up with Law and the gang. I will rally the troops and book tickets.

Hey Llwyncwn- that would be cool! (Although it will be Law minus the gang, I should think

I was asked to be a guinea pig at a Chris Bartle lecture/demo. There wern't 800 people there, but there were about 200, and i did have to wear a mic

which was the worst bit.. It wasn't anyway near as scary as i thought it would be.. The only down side was, as the speakers were turned to face the outside of the arean, i couldn't actually hear anything he was saying, therefore didn't learn as much as i'd hoped!

Have fun!!

That is so funny!

Seriously Mat, you'll be fine because you're good at what you do and you'll be guided by CS with whom you're used to working. It'll be like a normal training session with a few more people watching than normal!

Wish I could come but it's miles away.
