I've just called to ask my vet about prescriptions (for advocate) but she wasn't very forthcoming with the info and just tried to talk me into buying it from them (
). Don't want to have to call again (she sounded tired of my questions lol) but have an appointment for next Tuesday so can try and find out more then.
But, in the meantime, in addition to the cost of the actual prescription (which I did manage to find out was £7.50), do you have to pay extra for a consultation? Have done some reading up and it seems its the law that vets need to check the pet every 3-6 months in order to provide a prescription. If that is the case then I can't see the prescription+online method being that different to buying straight from the vet.
Sorry if its a daft question, it's all new to me and the choice and variety of wormers and flea treatments is overwhelming and I find myself getting confused!
