Hi,

I tried loading my horse today, he's always been difficult but he had a bad experience recently and so was having none of it today.

A pressure halter has worked successfully in loading him in the past so does anybody know where i can get one from quickly (and hopefully cheap too

Thanks very much

I got a be nice halter off ebay second hand in unused condition for a fraction of the new price, arrived quickly and did the job (which was also a loading problem!!) used it only a couple of times then never needed again but always good to keep in the trailer!!!!!

Hi you need to try to get one from Gary Witheford, google him. The ones that he sells are harder rope than the normal soft ones you can get. He will also supply you with a lenght of rope which is 3 metre's which you need for loading.

Not the cheapest one but the Richard Maxwell one is really well made and is designed to put pressure over the nose instead of the poll which is much safer. comes with brilliant dvd too. Highly recommend it

Maybe not the best answer as a bit vague, I have one I bought from a lady on ebay who makes them to order, pressure 'knots' on noseband only, and I can honestly say I won't use anything else now. I use it for everything and anyone who knows my boy knows how strong he is, it's enabled me to help him change back into the nicest horse I know :-)

Richard Maxwell ones are great. Don't buy one though. Buy some marine braid and make one...for about £3. You can buy it on ebay if you have no-where local. That's all they are. All you need to do is tie 2 loops in the rope and feed two bits through. If you have a look on the website it's easy to copy from the picture.
