Hi Everyone,
My elderly dog dislocated her hip 2 weeks ago, had it put back in place and had a sling on for only 24 hrs as she wriggled out of it! Thankfully she has made a great recovery from the main problem.
I came back form holiday on Mon this week and we have just noticed her paw where the sling sat is sore. The back, larger, pad has pretty much disintergrated now and it looks like a giant pressure sore.
Anyway, how would you treat his? Currently, I have put some antiseptic on with a loose tubigrip to stop her constant licking, as it is all I have in the house, but would happily get something better to treat it or take her back to the vet if needs be.
Thanks
