Preventing stable boredom!

I have just stopped adlib hay and my 2 yo has decided at night its fun to pull his rugs off the wall and trample them into his bed!! :-( He has also discovered its fun to tip a huge bucket of water all over his shavings!!

Any ideas to prevent this boredom? He has a treat ball but empties it as soon as its put in!!
