I am looking to sell one of our boys as he is to much for his current rider, some ideas of price would be helpful, This is going to break our hearts but it is cruel to keep him as he is not doing what he should be.

15.2hh TB type 7 yr old Gelding, Dark Bay
Excellent Stable manners total gentleman, Fantastic with Farrier (Dozes off), Clip , Load, hacks out alone and in company, Very forward going ride hence not suitable for a novice or nervous rider, loves to jump !!!, lovely paces for dressage will excel at RC etc, Microchipped and up to date with Vacs, A little green with some flat work, only for sale as current rider over horsed.. . Some tack and rugs included.

To my knowledge he has never hunted, he is well put together will have to upload some piccies easier to judge value with piccis as well

If it's any help at all to you, I got £2,900 including t/o rugs for a 14.1 registered NF pony in January also rising 7, in all ways very similar to your boy apart from he didn't like the farrier at all.

Thank you, anymore ???
He really is a complete softie, last time with the farrier he didnt move the whole time he was being shod, totally dozy and clipping ive never know a horse like it, stood there not even munching the haynet and loading well he loads himself, if only he was not so forward going under saddle he would be totally perfect he jumps like a stag and you can see how much he enjoys it

Price wise I am not sure - maybe £3.5k since you are including some tack & rugs?
I do know someone who is looking for something quite like him - where are you based & how strong is he? Would he be suitable for a teenage girl coming off ponies (happily jumps 3ft + courses on a 13:2, confident rider) or would you say that he is more of an adult ride & needs someone who is used to riding horses?

he has good breaks so would be ok imo for a teenager with experience, he needs some one with good riding ability who enjoys jumping XC etc

I think a lot of it will depend on where you are - if you are in the South you could perhaps ask £3 - 3.5k depending on tack/rugs. Does he have any vices?crib/windsuck/kick/buck/rear?

If he is just a forward going ride then I think he would be snapped up by a teenager looking to do some eventing etc. He is young enough to be brought on by a competent teenager and he is a good size.

You didnt say what his jumping is like? Has he done any comps?

Im in the south, He had been out doing jumping with a precious owner and we have taken him out but not jumping and his attitude was very good, his jumping is good not strong or rushing bold, he has bucked in excitment but not a nasty i want you off type but if that makes any sense he has no vices..

It will also depend on his general conformation etc but provided he is healthy and sound, decent enough feet for a TB, and is just a bit green in the school and forward going then I think a teenager looking to compete this year would love him. Sounds like he could event if he were bold enough.

In the advert I would specify if he is a snaffle ride and say not suitable for a novice as he is forward going and due to his age. You want to appeal to young competition riders so I would take a pic of his flatwork and one of him jumping.

Do a search on horsemart to see what else is out there in the same sort of category and then price accordingly.
