I may be interested in buying a riding school horse who is approx 20 years old (I have know this horse years) and as far as I am aware has had no major concerns health wise (Horse just has attitude which is why I love him!)
Would be used as a hacking horse.

What kind of price do you think I may be looking at?
(owner is loaning pony at mo and mentioned once this loan is over he may have to go!)

For a riding school pony of this age I wouldn't be wanting to pay anything. People are finding it hard to give much younger horses away in the current market. While this pony doesn't have health issues atm that you are aware of, his age makes it more likely that issues may start arising in the near future. Especially as a riding school pony, he probably has quite a few miles on the clock.

I suppose it comes down to how much you want him. If you really have to pay for him, I wouldn't expect it to be any more than a couple hundred. :)

Having said the above, it would be lovely if you could give the old boy a nice home. Don't mean to sound harsh as every horse deserves a loving home. I'm just saying that his monetary value is very little, if anything. :)

Thanks Clare85 .... He is lush and deserves a quieter life, and if I could give him that, I would be so chuffed just to go and give him a one to one home to spoil him. :)
