I've been offered a 4 year old sec c gelding, liver chestnut with 2 white socks.

Broken to ride and drive, i know he'l have had a good start as belongs to a good friend, she bought him as a project.

Was planning on looking for something a bit bigger, but he's a lovely pony, just a bit worried he'd be wasted with me.

Any ideas on price? I'm clueless on this sort of thing, have got a photo if that helps

I love C's (got one) but they are for a very limited market- the size and temperament makes them less useful than a D (got the height) but that bit bigger than an A or B which are more suited as a kids pony. Im 5'7 and can just manage on mine (full up 13.2) but it does lead to some faults in my riding (knees under my ears, heels gripping sort of thing!)

great fun, compact, stocky and brilliant to ride though.

LL i'm only just over 5ft so height shouldn't be a problem.

Have always thought that i would never manage a D, any i've met just look strong and over the top.

M is totally different, a bit more like a sports pony, fairly chilled, saw him do his first shot at a new indoor school and although he called a bit he settled into his work pretty quickly.

Not sure what to do, friend says i should go and visit and drive him and think i'm backstepping at his first club driving event later this month.
Head says no, heart says yes though.

I paid £850 last year for liver chestnut Nebo blood lines last May. He was 5 in June. Bought as lead rein for my granddaughter. Both myself and my daughter can hack him out and we are very pleased with our little 'bargain'

I would say go for it then, sounds perfect for you.

Mines built like a brick shithouse, and cant say i would be comfortable letting a kid on him (hes not strong specifically, but he is incredibly powerful) would love him 2 hands bigger though.
