hey,
i bought a horse last year off a professional event rider, with the view to bringing it on and selling it. Hes a beautiful 15.3hh rising 6 yo, black irish gelding. He has fabulous paces, a lovely character, was professionally backed and brought on. He's been round a few xc courses, done a little show jumping and a couple of dressage competitions where he placed or won each time.

Obviously I have a figure in mind to get my money back, but does anyone have any ideas on what i might get for him top whack?

clearly he isnt worth anything at all... so you should just ship him to me as he is exactly what im after, yes?

I bought him to bring on and sell, never bought him to keep as i have another, he was just a project to enjoy, learn a bit on and then hopefully make a bit of money back on!

Ha-you'll be lucky in this economic climate-I bought a foal as an investment, kept him 3 years, backed him, long reined him etc. and looking at various others for sale he is worth about what I paid for him before the recession!

Disagree. Know several horses over the last 12mnths that have sold for VERY good prices. Obviously depends how much OP paid for him originally
