I'm really not sure how much to advertise my mare for. I have decided to sell her because I want to bring on another youngster but I dont have a clue how much she is actually worth. So would appreciate some figures from people on here. She is a 16.0hh, 5yo blanket Appy x WB with unknown parentage. She has shown succesfully (locally) in youngster classes and coloured horse classes. She goes out and can win with scores 69% @ pre-lims. Showjumps at British Novice and competes trailblazers 85 and 95cm's, has plenty of scope. Completed her 1st un-affiliated one-day event and came 6th out of 30. She Jumps into water and doesn't bat an eye-lid at ditches, hunted last winter in a snaffle. Hacks out alone in HEAVY traffic and can even work in outline in the school when ridden by a 4stone 10yo girl. 100% box, shoe and load. No vices and clean legged! She needs twitching to clip!

£7.5k, has she won any money, if so I would put her up for £8.5 and take £8 for her....

She sounds like a gem and I would keep her if I were you!

She sounds lovely, a friend had a similar horse for sale but with known paretnage advertised for £9k and got £8k for her

Unless you want to give her to me for free? Or loan

I would say £5k ish purely based on what has been sold on our yard recently.

I think some people get lucky - mare on our yard 10 years old, very nice paces big jump , no breeding looks warblood has just been sold for £6k she has no BD points or BSJA but gets placed in showing classes at Ridig Club level.

so maybe if you judge it by that your mare could be maybe £6k on the basis that she is half her age.

In that case I would put her up for £7.5, and be prepared to drop. If she has done well in showing etc it would indicate she is well put together, a solid allrounder and I would think anywhere over the £6250 mark would be a good price

£3k is a bargain!

Have you got pics?

Yeah have some pics, is it naughty to post them on here? Dont want to be in bother for advertising!!?? I may have posted her pic on here last yr.. let me look..

Def looks like a £6k+++ horse to me...to quote my dad

A horse is worth what you think it is...if people agree, she will sell, if not, drop it till they do.

In other words, shove her in H&H with a pic and see what response you get. I would put her in for £7.5k x
