My friend lives in Bletchley just outside of Milton Keynes. She's hoping to buy a horse and likes the next village 'Stoke Hammond'. Does anyone know the area and how much it would cost for grass livery?
dont know that area but in herts - can range from 90 a month to 180 depending in facilities... ooo that is with a stable tho so not sure if that helps!
no probs - the 180 a month was grass livery with no stable at a big yard with indoor schools whilst the 90 was with a stable but with no facilities - varies i guess! good luck!
Grass livery at Bryerley Springs Farm, in Gt Brickhill (next village along to Stoke Hammond) is £32/week. i think thats about average for this area. Is she planning to move to Stoke hammond? I hope she's rich, its jolly pricy !

HOW much????\
Round here it's 12 pounds a week with fab hacking and use of an all weather menage!
No Bletchley is a 10 min drive away from there!! Her friend owns a little shop there and he was saying that the average rental price on a 2 bed cottage is £1200!!!
I pay £8 pw per horse in Cornwall!
i know - i moved away at 18 - would love to come back there now (at 30) but there isnt much local work - still have friends there in truro tho. Annoys the hell out of me all the people with second homes down there - all the villages where i grew up the people have had to move out and sell their houses as they cant afford it.
I read that the average house buyer needs 16 times the average cornish salary to buy , its totally mad! Anyway rant over! I hope to move back there one day. good luck to your friend!
Tell her look in RB Equestrian on the notice board. When I was looking (Sept time) a few paddocks were available (private) at ten quid a week in Brickhill area.
They probably have gone now, but is a good place to find grass livery
