Price Of Hay.

How much would you expect to pay for a large round bale of hay. Am just wondering as YO seems to be charging a hell of a lot this year.

I was paying £20 for a large bale even then the quality wasnt that great.

Ive moved onto haylage now and its £6 a bag and lasts 5/6 days

Im paying £22 for a large round bale of hayledge and £12 for a small one, thought IMO theres not much difference between them from my supplier except double the price!

I think that the large rolls of hay are £15 or £20, not sure which

we pay 12 pounds for really good hay and the farmer takes it over for us!!! we are very lucky. in this area hay is priced between 10 to 16 pounds

£25 for a large round haylage but farmer next door is now giving me haylage for free

(and it's better quality!)

i pay 2.20 for small bales of hay and £24 for large haylage

3.25 for a small bale, £28 for a large round one! Depends on where you are I think!!

I pay £1 for straw, £2 for hay, Large round bails of hay are £10, and large round bails of straw are £5, All stored right in front of the stables (which is handy)
