Price of haylage!!!

It has been a fab year for making good haylage, how much are you paying for a large roller bale??? mine is £27 a bale with free delivery!!! are the other farmers or makers following suite?? or are you paying a lot more?? xxx

You're lucky, I've been quoted £40 for a load of Heston bales delivered. I'm just waiting to hear back from my other supplier to see what price and quantity he's offering.

A heston bale is larger than a round bale and much harder to move so they will be more, my father in aw charged 40 a heston bale last yr and we sell ittle bales at 5 each collected or 6 each delivered.

which area are you in?? i know my supplier has plenty surplace stock and will save the amount you require for the year, if your in my area i can pass on his no to you xxx

West of Scotland - the round bales we get are bigger than the hestons.

Our bales weigh approx 350 kgs with 6 strings and cost £32.50 delivered.

The weather was lovely for making hay but there isn't much of it due such a late spring then very very dry weather so no grass growth.
