Price of horses

Hi @Birker2020 it looks like they're all from the same vendor/stud, so perhaps that's just their standard price for their well bred sport horse yearlings, and there are buyers our there who will look for the specific bloodlines. If you are looking for a pro level competition horse for the future, then perhaps the asking price makes it a good deal.

I'm not interested at all in buying a youngster but it came up on my usual 16.2hh-17hh £10 - 15k search. Must have forgotten to put the age in!
Just very surprised but then I know nothing about prices of youngstock! They all look nice anyway.

10-15k is a pretty standard asking price for a foal bred for decent eventing. They won’t all sell at that price and breeders will then generally hang onto them until 3/4yos and will be 30k+ just backed.

I would expect youngsters from proven mares like these are to be that price .

If you take the price of mare care for a year + foal care for a year, vet fees for AI, stud fees that can be into four figures these youngsters are not in any way overpriced.
The problem is people will not pay a realistic price for an equine.
