My mum has a TB mare which she wants to put into foal or maybe sell. Although we dont have a huge amount for the stud fee (and dont slate me for not being able to afford the best bloodlines), we have around 200-300 for a showjumping stallion under the age of 15, dont mind if its unproven but must have bone and a good jump ! Also if we were to sell her she is able to be a broodmare or foster mare as still produces milk from previous foals althoough needs bringing back into work has god bloodlines would you pay around 1000??

it depends how 'good' her lines are really...but sounds a bit steep in terms of price. probably better to ask the folks in breeding about stallions....

I forgot to put she is able to work at riding club level i.e. if brought back into work able to do novice dressage test + jump

Will ask the breeding fokes

If she has really decent lines and a history of producing nice foals £1000 shouldn't be unrealistic. We sold our mare who was injured and hence never going to be sound enough to jump as a broodie and had masses of interest at £1000. However she was registered ISH with King of Diamonds as grand sire and FLagmount King as sire and was a proven comp horse herself (intermediate team chasing etc) before injury....
I guess maybe with TBs prices are slightly lower than average unless really good lines?
