I know prices are going to go up, due to so many factors, but thought I'd share this with you. Before January I was buying a full pallet of wood pellets for £255. Last Monday the cheapest I could find was £360. Sorbeo were £365 (which I bought) Today at 3pm Sorbeo were £395 and by this evening they were £399. If you are able to bulk buy is it worth it? Or do I turn the horses out asap and buy in the autumn????

The problem with wood pellets is that they are being used as fuel. I'd look for another bedding that can't be burned in power stations to create electricity, or to heat private homes.
.

My local feed store who are also an oil/wood/coal supplier do unbranded wood pellets for £4.50 a bag which includes VAT. They might not be white but they do the job and are horse friendly so nothing nasty in them. You can buy them in single bags, on pallets and if you have space by the the tanker so there are cheaper ones out there.

Wood imports usually come from Russia and the baltic states, this supply has been cut off. This along with rising fuel and energy costs will have a big impact on the price.
