Prices of call out visits

Most vets vary a little.
My vets has a weekly clinic that you can attend (assuming you have transport) and you obviously waiver the call out.
Normal surgery hours are about £35 call out for me.
Some vets offer a call out free day for routine things like jabs.

We rang round some local vets just this week as needed a passport form verified and stamped and the prices varied from £42 (within 10 miles of practise but £64 if over  ) to £57

My vets call out fee is £32 but if you book in advance and get him out on a zoned area day then you get the fee for £22. And even the reduced rate can be shared equally among other yard members if you have the vet on the same day :)

if its a zone routine visit which is one set day in each of the zones they cover its 9.50 thats for routine type stuff nothing to involved. Normal fees depend how far you are but for me would be about 35ish more the further you are

I just had a bill with 2 callouts on, the one for a pre booked mid week appointment was £40, the Sunday late afternoon emergency choke call out ( which my horse cleared her self just as the vet pulled onto the yard!!) was £90!

Mine charges £20 for call out and then another £20 per half hr for 'examination' - is this normal? I only ask as my last vet when I lived in Wales only charged £10 for call out and that included looking at the horse too!!

My old vets charge for call out with was £35 and then examine on top which was around £25 not sure with new vets.

£30 and that can only be split between 2!!!

we had 6 people have the vet.... we paid £15 each for callout... to me thats wrong.

vet bills are sky high anyhow.... that just makes it worse imo.

we pay about £40 call out in hours, but out of hours its about £80, although it was 100 when they were called out at 9pm on xmas eve to a fellow livery!! we tend to try and get multiple people for jabs etc to reduce costs.

So low do you find out which zone your in,when and how much,I've never been told about this?

my vets are about £40 call out regardless of where you are.
you can split the call out between as many as you want. my vet came out last week to see a couple of others on the yard, had a look at my horse and said he wouldn't bother charging (nothing done, just watched horse trot up) but i split the call out with a couple of others as it was only fair.
