Chancer has his first real temper tantrum yesterday - gave a couple of rears (nothing to bother with) - I did not deal as well as I could in that I kept the reins short and sat up rather than leaning forward and giving the reins - he was also bunching up behind and boy can he buck which I was also trying to avoid, decided that best to get off before things got worse or he did get me off, so did a wonderful legs out of stirrups pony club dismount onto my feet still holding the reins - which my instructor found very impressive - a 14.3 half up is so much easier that a 16.3 that is vertical to do this on.
Think he is going to be one of those that on the few times he does object he will give small rears, huge bucks and twist - nice to deal with
Got back on and finished on good note.
So still in one piece and feeling a bit smug went to to do jobs and then slipped and fell 10' down the hayloft stairs landing on my arse and elbow.
Nice bruises and now feeling less cocky.
