Primrosehill XC, Gawcott, Bucks

Haven't been there for a few years. It's a nice PC type course, makes use of natural terrain, hedge lines etc. Remember having to park on ridge and furrow.

Biscester and Warden PC host events there

Not been there for 2-3 years now, as Thistle says its a nice PC type course, it can get very wet at the bottom field so check its open before you go. Parking on hardstanding is limited and most the the fences are in the hedgeline or side by side which suits some but is less good if you have something that is inclined to run out and you need to practice keeping it straight to island fences. I probably have some pictures from a clinic we did there once but that was at least 5 years ago but I don't think its changed much since!

OK thanks all. Might suit us well for a change of scenery from the usual MKEC/Carlton/Keysoe schooling. Looks from their videos like a good place to practice getting into a rhythm and keeping going.

It hasn't changed much in recent years, a good old fashioned schooling course, not many skinnies, lots of steps and drops in the hedgelines and most island fences are differing sizes in a row. Good for youngsters. Water complex, coffin and a wet ditch.

Lovely lovely course. Range of sizes and lots of different fences that you don't see around.
I've competed at the PC events there the past couple of years and suits my horse down to the ground.

I really like it, but I don't jump big! Prefer it to MKEC because there is better choice for me, more small options. I particularly like the water and the brush fences there (my pony has aversion to brush so find them good for practice).

I have heard on the jungle drums that it is going to close next year though - I don't know if this is true or not. I hope not as it is is easy to get to for us.
