So its been 1 week since Prince arrived....taking on a barely sat on 3 year old was a bit of a gamble but I can say 'hand on my heart' it was the best decision ever! (so far
).
This lad has changed so much in just 7 days its shocking! He's grown - he's matured - he's changed colour!
I had a bit of a shock when I googled his original owners name and address and came up with a Prosecution for Starvation case
However - this makes him even more special
8 - 10 hours turn out each day seems to suit him. He wasn't getting much turn out from where I brought him from (not the owners fault - just circumstance) and it seems to have opened his chest out. He used to kick at his food but since I've taken away the treat ball that his previous owner gave him - this has stopped.
He has impeccable manners and will stand to be groomed for ages as long as he has a haynet for company!
Best of all on day 2, I got a whinny when he saw me - and I've had one every day since
He's learning to lunge really nicely and I can see his balance is coming on well.
The saddle fitter came yesterday and he was an absolute saint. Love him to bits!
In a previous thread I asked what his colour was - which was decided as Sabino. The next question is - what breed is he?! we think he's Trotter X New Forest.... answers on a post card!
PS the farrier is coming out tomorrow
The week before I got him
Today

Aspirations to be a dog! (standing in a very peculiar way here - he's not usually this wonky!)
