I also hope it's not too serious, I met him a few years ago when B got her gold DofE and was impressed with his sharp wit.

Papworth is a great hospital and is one of the leading heart hospitals in the UK.

I hope he is soon back with his family enjoying Christmas. Papworth is THE best place to go for heart/chest issues. It doesn't matter who you are, this is NOT the time of year to be feeling poorly.

News over here this evening said he'd has stents inserted, one of my favourite Royals, great character.

Hopefully he can be at home with his family for Christmas.

Hope he makes it home for Christmas :) I like him, I think he's brilliantly funny.

I didn't know Papworth was heart/chest specialised, all of a sudden OH being sent there about his chest surgery rather than Addenbrokes makes sense! Thanks all :D

Its routine to do stents while the patient is awake :) My hubby had one fitted nearly 5 years ago. Hope they did it via his wrist rather than the groin though as the groin bruises worse than the wrist :p

Wishing HRH a speedy recovery

local news (I live in Cambridge) say that the rest of the royals are coming up from Sandringham to visit him today so at least he isn't sitting there all by himself :)
