You can't get better then Papworth for chest medicine - although they must be quite concerned as the Norfolk & Norwich is closer if it was more routine
I hope it is nothing too serious at his age and he gets to spend Christmas at Sandringham with his family
I hope he is soon back with his family enjoying Christmas. Papworth is THE best place to go for heart/chest issues. It doesn't matter who you are, this is NOT the time of year to be feeling poorly.
Ah, he's a great man, I'd love to spend time listening to him - I've been reading his book The Box Seat, very down to earth. Hoping it's nothing serious, and he's home tomorrow.
Hope he makes it home for Christmas I like him, I think he's brilliantly funny.
I didn't know Papworth was heart/chest specialised, all of a sudden OH being sent there about his chest surgery rather than Addenbrokes makes sense! Thanks all
I suspect they thought the risks of general anaesthetic were too big at his very advanced age. So pleased he seems to be doing well - amazing, that's what a lifetime of horses does for you )))
Its routine to do stents while the patient is awake My hubby had one fitted nearly 5 years ago. Hope they did it via his wrist rather than the groin though as the groin bruises worse than the wrist
local news (I live in Cambridge) say that the rest of the royals are coming up from Sandringham to visit him today so at least he isn't sitting there all by himself
