My poor boy. After a week boarding in rural NY state, he has two corneal ulcers on his left eye. Given how much he's been licking his paws, it seems his allergies went into overdrive and he ended up scratching his eye so much that it ulcerated :( The lady with whom he boards took him to her vet and they suspected dry eye, but his tear production was found to be normal.

He needs eye ointment for five days, and then we're doing a combined trip to the hospital to see an allergist/opthamologist. Before he left, his allergies were under control through a fish-based diet and homeopathic drops, but the pollen was so bad in upstate NY that, apparently, it was like a fog descended most days.

To cheer the boy up, I bought some "yoghund" on the way home :D

Aw, I feel your pain! I have a feeling we will be jumping on the allergy bus soon :( Hope he perks up soon x

It's a right tragicomedy here. Stella keeps dancing when he walks by with his conehead, and then he inadvertently whacks her on her blind side, making her jump. Hilarious.

Allergies suck! Stella sneezes a few times when spring blossoms, but that's it. I feel so badly for Prince.

Aww poor Prince....Allergies Suck!! (((vibes)))
Daisy is allergic to grass, trees, flowers, pollen etc etc She has a fish diet too it stinks really bad! Its blue whiting and tapioca..erghhh she has evening primrose oil everyday too. I feel so sorry for her when she is itchy, she does have to have half a piriton tablet sometimes though.
